The future doesn’t stand still anymore.
Traditional strategic plans assume the future stands still, at least long enough to be (somewhat) predictable. That world doesn’t exist anymore. What good is a linear 5-year plan in a world where 100 years of innovation is being condensed into the next 3? It’s like trying to predict where a napkin that’s been picked up by a tornado will land.
Exponential change is causing the gap between strategic plans and operating plans to collapse, and a strategic plan that takes months to develop is obsolete by the time the board approves it.
Strategy is more vital than ever, but nonprofits need new approaches that flex as fast as things are changing. Status quo is a death sentence, and the organizations that will thrive are adapting to the realities of an exponential world.
Our Strategic Inevitability Framework is designed for organizations that are fit for speed and ready to meet the demands of the moment.
Developed from 10 years of building strategies for hundreds of nonprofits and battle tested to meet the unique needs of nonprofits today.
- Start with your why and what isn’t changing.
- Zero in on 12-month goals and objectives.
- Identify all possible paths.
- Ruthless prioritization.
- Nimble action plans.
- Continuous evaluation.
An adaptable execution roadmap that keeps your why at the centre, anchored to your actual capacity, that everyone can follow to make accomplishing your most important goals inevitable.
Strategy, at its core, is simply prioritization. A set of rules for knowing what to say yes to, what to ignore, and where to focus.Graeme Watt, Principal of Strategy, Anthem Creative

FAQ
Is this free?
Yes. Registration is required for the Zoom link and calendar invite.
What time is it where I am?
Wed, Nov 18, 2026, 12:00 to 1:00 PM Mountain. That’s 11:00 AM Pacific, 1:00 PM Central and 2:00 PM Eastern.
Will we build our plan during the workshop?
No. Graeme teaches each of the five stages and shows them on a real anonymized example. Afterward you get your own Miro board, the digital workbook with prompts, and the replay, so you and your team can build your roadmap at your own pace.
We already have a 3-year plan. Is this for us?
Yes. We keep the 3-year outlook and the why. This workshop is about turning it into no more than three 12-month objectives and a prioritized roadmap that gets done.
Does this replace the need for a strategic plan?
It replaces the long, linear plan, not strategy. You keep a living 3-year outlook, 12-month objectives and action plans you revisit every 90 days. If your board or funders require a formal plan, you can turn those outputs into one.
Can’t we just ask AI to write our plan?
AI can draft a plan in an afternoon. It can’t get your leadership to agree on the three objectives that matter, or decide what you’ll stop doing. That choosing, and the ownership that comes from doing it together, is what this workshop teaches.
What happens after the workshop?
The framework’s fifth stage, Evaluate, is a 90-day check-in: pull out your Priority Pyramid, review progress, and decide what to stop, start, keep or tweak. You can run it yourselves. The full-day Strategy Sprint includes one facilitated 90-day check-in, and Mini Sprint teams can add one for $500 CAD (approx. US$350).
What do the Sprints cost, and which one fits us?
The Mini Sprint is $1,200 CAD (approx. US$850) for 3 focused hours on Zoom. The full-day Strategy Sprint is $7,950 CAD (approx. US$5,600), is facilitated by Graeme Watt and Anthem experts, includes one facilitated 90-day check-in (valued at $500 CAD, approx. US$350), and is built for organizations with a $100K+ CAD annual marketing budget. The Mini Sprint fee is credited on Anthem projects of $15K+ CAD (approx. US$10.5K+) started within 60 days. The full-day Sprint fee is credited toward projects of $50K+ CAD (approx. US$35K+) started within 60 days. Not sure which fits? Book a 15-minute fit call. USD figures are approximate.
Is this a sales pitch?
No. Graeme teaches the framework. The Sprints are mentioned once, at the end, for teams that want facilitation.
Will there be a replay?
Yes. Everyone who registers gets the replay, to share with teammates and revisit as needed.
Can I bring a colleague?
Yes. Invite your ED, marketing lead or development lead. A +1 is welcome.
Is this only for Canadian nonprofits?
No. Anthem is based in Edmonton and works with nonprofits across North America. The workshop is open to nonprofit leaders wherever you are.
